Catwalks Trends colour - Spring/Summer 2021 (Fashion For Breakfast)

Published
Oct 20, 2020

At Fashion for Breakfast we have observed the latest Fashion Weeks from up close to put together a complete analysis of the trending colours that took over the runways.

The palette for the next S/S 21 season is complete, composed of a balanced mixture of classic, neutral timeless shades and touches of more modern and bright colours.

Among the classics there is the very bright Pantone 11-4001 Brilliant White, an optical white that conveys purity and extreme sophistication to every piece, in addition to the dark shades of 19-4122 Moonlit Ocean and 19-0303 Jet Black, a timeless black and an intriguing night blue suitable for the elegance of evening outfits.

A must for the palette of a season of neutral colours with earthy shades: Pantone 16-1328 Sandstone and 13-1106 Sand Dollar, both able to convey comfort and body to garments.

Delicate and light as clouds, on the other hand, are the shades of blue, such as 15-3920 Placid Blue and 14-4809 Eggshell Blue, which segue to the more delicate tones seen on the catwalk: creamy yellows of Pantone 12-0720 and 12-0738, together with romantic pinks 14-1323 Salmon and 14-2311 Prism Pink.

On the theme of pinks, we have Pantone 17-1937, a shade of shocking pink, loaded and hyper-feminine that stands out in the palette with its playful and modern aspect.

Completing the spectrum of brighter shades, there are other striking notes of colour: charismatic 16-6340 Classic Green, a green full of character, seductive red of Pantone 18-1763 High Risk Red and lastly 15-1164 Bright Marigold, a cheerful orange that gives clothes a burst of energy.
