UK debut for Australian slow fashion label MNK Atelier

Published
Mar 17, 2023

Australia’s MNK Atelier — a brand new slow fashion brand — is set to debut on 22 March with a launch in its domestic market and internationally — but with a particular focus on the UK, which the founders called “one of the most important markets outside of Australia”.

MNK Atelier

Founded by sisters Milly and Kobe Kan, MNK Atelier stands for ‘Modern, Nostalgic and Kind’ with the label aiming to “create long-lasting everyday luxury wardrobe staples and investment pieces, whilst incorporating sustainable methods into each design from start to finish”.

The launch collection is called SEA and “embodies the founders love of the ocean, sand and everyday beauty of nature and beaches”.

It comprises 16 pieces that can be worn as standalone or coordinates. They include separates, shirts, relaxed tailoring, knitwear and dresses “designed with intricate cutout detailing”.

Fabrics used include Japanese botanic dyed organic cotton and recycled Japanese PET bottle textiles, with prices starting at £169 and rising to £353.
