Tranoï’s next menswear session reveals names of guest labels

The menswear edition of the Tranoï trade show is scheduled at Garage Amelot, located at 2 passage St Pierre Amelot in central Paris’s chic Marais district on January 19-22 2023.

In January 2023, Tranoï’s menswear edition will again put Portuguese designers centre stage - Tranoï

The event, showcasing young designers with an original creative approach, is changing venue. While previous editions were held at the Carrousel du Louvre and the Palais de la Bourse, this show will be staged at Garage Amelot, a former Renault garage built in the 1960s. The 4,000-square-meter venue is a regular home to fashion events, having hosted runway shows and presentations by Off-White, Courrèges, Lecourt-Mansion and Vivienne Westwood in the past.

Next January, the 2nd floor of this space will host the shows. The program includes Gunther, Naomi Gunther's contemporary luxury label, Montreal-based designer Markantoine's streetwear label MRKNTN, as well as brands from the official calendar.

"With our new location in the heart of the Marais, which is a favorite neighborhood for buyers and a fashion reference in terms of location, Tranoi will be a flagship destination for Paris Fashion Week," smiles Boris Provost, the show's CEO. This edition will be double the volume, going from about thirty brands (in previous years) to nearly seventy exhibitors including 18 British brands, thanks to the partnership with the London Show Rooms, marking its return to France post-pandemic."

This men's edition has been designed jointly with the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, the organizer of Fashion Week. The B2B event will also be digitalized thanks to the Live Stream, for buyers from the Chinese, Korean and Japanese markets unable to travel.

Portuguese fashion focus

For a six-season period, until September 2023, Portuguese designers are centre stage at Tranoï, thanks to an exclusive partnership with the Portugal Fashion organisation. The three guest designers at the show’s next edition are David Catalan with his Porto-based streetwear label, Victor Huarte with his maxi floral prints, and Estelita Mendonça, a young prodigy who has won international awards for her contemporary collections.

After taking part in Vienna Fashion Week and Pitti Uomo, Portuguese designer Estelita Mendonça will present her Fall/Winter 23-24 collection at Tranoï in Paris - Tranoï

Tranoï has published the list of labels that will be showcasing their menswear collections. Among them, French brands like Carre'Y, Daniel Essa, Early Majority, Erevan, Giorgio & Mario, Jacques Gomme, Jamin, Lionnard, Llosa, Saritekin and Weisheng; from Italy, Hevo and Patchouli; Tommazo from Cyprus, Japanese labels Fdmtl and Askyy, and Indian label Countrymade.

Among the newcomers at the show's January edition are 1886, a Saudi brand with a streetwear style, Again, a Parisian sportswear label, Ekivoc with its minimalist wardrobe and Silted, a brand inspired by the world of surfing. In June, 40 labels participated in the edition that was held at the Palais de Tokyo

The full exhibitor list is available on the event’s website.
