Tendam reaches its 20th store in Ukraine

Spanish fashion group Tendam is continuing its expansion in the Ukrainian market. The group has launched two new stores in Kiev for its lingerie brand Women'secret and for its casualwear brand Springfield, it announced on Wednesday in a press release. Tendam now has 20 stores in Ukraine, eight for Springfield and 12 for Women'secret.

The first of the new Women'secret stores is located in the Blockbuster Mall, the largest leisure complex in the country located on the outskirts of Kiev, according to the company. The second space has a surafce area of over 100 square meters and is situated in the River Mall shopping center in a residential neighborhood on the banks of the Dnieper river.

The Springfield brand will also open a store in River Mall, occupying a space of almost 140 square meters.

"In these first six months Tendam, together with Springfield and Women'secret, has taken a further step in the consolidation of the European market with the new openings of new points of sale in France, Portugal, Greece, Italy and Hungary, both through its own stores and with franchised partners. With these new openings Tendam's presence on the European continent adds up to more than 1400 points of sale," said the group.
 
The retailer has set itself the goal of strengthening growth at Springfield and Women'secret in addition to betting on new markets for its other brands Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro and the Fifty outlet chain.
 
For this reason, Cortefiel will land in Georgia in autumn with a first store in the capital. The opening of the second Women'secret store in the country will also be added to this inauguration.
 
Tendam specializes in the premium mass market segment and is present in 80 countries with some 2,000 points of sale of its different brands. In its fiscal year 2018-2019, the group registered pre-tax profits of 80.8 million euros, that is, this figure almost quadrupled compared to the previous period; while its total sales at a constant exchange rate totaled 1155.9 million euros.
