Superdry links with Mobolise to attract and retain diverse creative talent

Superdry said this week that it’s "among a hand-picked community of trailblazers endorsing Mobolise", an upskilling and recruitment platform for black talent.

Launched by MOBO founder, Kanya King, “the aim of the partnership is to ensure that Superdry is attracting and retaining diverse creative talent from a broader range of backgrounds” when recruiting for roles at its Cheltenham HQ.

It believes this will “help to ensure that diversity, equality, and inclusion is further embedded within the brand’s DNA”.

The company added that the collaboration “will enable Superdry to identify and activate training and employee engagement opportunities, as well as having a presence at events, seminars, and training sessions to help candidates prepare for interviews”.

Its first virtual event with Mobolise has been confirmed for 24 November and is a free-of-charge one-hour virtual talk. It will feature two black career professionals, in conversational style, who will give advice on how to get ahead in their industries.

The firm’s People Director Cathryn Petchey said: “Building a diverse and inclusive culture is crucial to the success of Superdry, both now and in the future. This partnership is an amazing opportunity to connect with incredible black talent and create opportunities, whilst building awareness and gaining diverse perspectives.”
