Pikolinos finds its EMEA sales director at Ecco

Pikolinos has entrusted its European commercial expansion to Uwe Janzen. The new sales director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region is a footwear specialist, since he filled the same role from 2011 for Danish group Ecco. Janzen joined Ecco in 2007, having previously worked for Marco Polo, Bree and Adidas.

Pikolinos is a Spanish footwear specialist with a presence in about forty markets in the EMEA region, notably in France, where its first Parisian store opened last year, and is planning to expand its influence.

"We are convinced that with Uwe's arrival we will benefit from a crucial partner in the European footwear industry. Thanks to his experience, we will expand the presence of the Pikolinos group brands on European markets in a more forceful fashion," stated Juan Manuel Peran, the Pikolinos group's Vice-President.

The group currently has a presence in 8,000 stores across some sixty markets worldwide. Its leading countries are Spain, of course, as well as the USA and Mexico.
