The Inditex group's sportswear, intimates and loungewear brand is stepping up its commitment to fitness with the launch of Oysho Training, its first sports, yoga and running workout app. Available for free download, the app offers more than 300 workout sessions adapted to the different levels of users, from beginners to experts.

Oysho

Oysho Training, launched on Monday, September 12 and is available for download in nine countries: Spain, Turkey, Mexico, Italy, Portugal, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. For now, the application is only available in Spanish, English, French and Italian.

This new technology will allow users to create workout programs based on their interests, selecting them by duration (from 10 to 45 minutes) or intensity, and will include coaching by virtual trainers. Through a recommendation engine based on workouts already completed, the application will suggest new customized programs to achieve specific goals and challenges and will allow users to share their achievements.

Oysho Training will also include a 3D avatar that uses augmented reality to facilitate the process of improving exercise technique, as well as clips of specific movements in order to perfect the exercises. The programs and sessions can be downloaded onto a cell phone or tablet, while the smartwatch version will make it possible to record your physical activity with various metrics.

Owned by the Spanish group Inditex and initially launched as a homewear and lingerie retail chain, Oysho has been, in recent years, diversifying its product range and improving its sportswear range at affordable prices. The brand has launched collections dedicated to sports such as yoga, surfing, skiing and boxing.

In the first quarter of the fiscal year, Inditex achieved a record profit of 760 million euros and increased its sales by 36% to 6.74 billion euros. The company founded by Amancio Ortega will present its results for the second quarter of the fiscal year on Wednesday, September 14.
