New Burberry campaign celebrates spirit of adventure

Published
Oct 6, 2022

Burberry has unveiled its latest campaign, called Night Creatures, “celebrating the power of curiosity and exploration of the unknown”.

The exploration theme is a clear link back to Burberry’s origins in outerwear that was worn by “some of the most prolific adventurers” of the past.

And it said that today, it “continues to strive forward with the same mindset, creating outerwear pieces that empower the wearer to go beyond the unknown and embark upon unique and exciting adventures”.

For the campaign film, it collaborated with Megaforce to bring the story to life, showing a trio of “Burberry explorers”.

They tentatively approach “an undiscovered creature. Shortly after, the cast is swept up by the creature in the spirit of adventure. Entangled together, the creature and cast spin and dance. Connecting with one another to move as one. Relishing the joy and opportunity found in fearlessly embracing the unknown, they embody the bold and courageous spirit that unites adventurers. As the film draws to a close, the ensemble floats atop the waters of the River Thames and journeys into the night. Embracing their next adventure, and what it holds, together.”

The still imagery, shot by George Eyers, “continues to celebrate exploration in the city. The dynamic images feature the individuals in the film, shot from different perspectives surrounded by London landscapes”.

The product star of the campaign is the Burberry Night Check – the latest iteration of its signature pattern – that “nods to the brand’s love of the natural world by mirroring the night sky with bright white stars nestled in a blanket of dark charcoal blue”.

The seasonal colourway came be found on puffer jackets and fleeces, as well as shirts and knitwear.
