N Brown names director of design from Joules

Published
Nov 8, 2022

Online fashion group N Brown has lured Joules’ Head of Design Helen Low to join its executive ranks as Director of Design, effective 21 November.

JD Williams

The experienced Low has been at Joules as head of design since November 2020. With over 25 years’ in the fashion industry, she previously spent three years as Design Director of womenswear at Debenhams as well as holding senior design positions at George at Asda, M&S and Next.

Low will replace Neil Hendy at N Brown who confirmed his decision to leave the group earlier this year.

Reporting to Sarah Welsh, CEO of Retail, Low will focus on continuing to build on the product evolution that has been delivered within the past two years under Hendy’s leadership.

A key focus for the group is to drive a more distinct customer proposition across its strategic brands, Simply Be, JD Williams and Jacamo, by creating a clearly defined product handwriting.

Welsh said: “Helen will bring a huge amount of passion and expertise to N Brown. She has a wealth of design, innovation and strategy experience from across the fashion industry and will instantly become a valued member of our team.

“She joins us at a really exciting time for the business as we continue to elevate our fashion proposition through our differentiated brand portfolio to make our customers look and feel amazing.”
