Lectra launches South Korean subsidiary

Published

Lectra, which offers solutions for industries using soft material-fabrics, is launching a subsidiary in South Korea, where the French company has operated for the past 25 years. Its aims to reinforce its growth in the Asian market.

The South Korean Lectra team

The local team will consist of the staff from Impa Systems, which was previously the exclusive agent of Lectra in the country. Leadership in the country has been handed over to Hong Kwon Moon, who will report to Yves Delhaye, the director of Lectra for ASEAN, South Korea, India and Australia.

"South Korea is one of the eight economies, together with Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, and Turkey, which are expected to produce half of global growth during the current decade," said Daniel Harari, CEO of Lectra. "These countries make up the key markets where we are already firmly established and where we continue to invest.”

Lectra currently has 23,000 clients in over a hundred countries. Consisting of 1,350 employees, the company serves luxury companies like Vuitton and Hermès, as well as fast fashion specialists like H&M.
