Jean-Charles de Castelbajac launches a more affordable range

Published
Sep 6, 2009

Jean-Charles de Castel Bajac has struck again! The most resourceful French designer is tackling the back-to-school season by expanding his portfolio with a range called JC/DC; an off-the-peg line which is “creative, quality and at an accessible price for the upcoming generation,” explained the press liaison.

Structured around a hundred womenswear pieces along with a vast menswear offering, the first collection has certainly set the tone. It is called “Punkahontas and the Ducks”, staying true to the colourful and joyful spirit the designer has established and is crammed full of typical Castelbajac references.

As for the price, t-shirts will be around €75, trousers at €165 and dresses for €100.
The release of “Punkahontas and the Ducks” coincides with that of “Pop Hours”, a new range of watches with a Lego-esque appeal from the designer.

These new arrivals will make their first appearance at Ghost Inc on the 18th of September in London, followed by a showing at the VIP Theatre in Paris on the 23rd.
