"We’ve talked about the financial support package put together by the government. Vice minister Carlo Calenda has confirmed its commitment to the tune of 18 million euros per year over three years for the textiles and clothing," said Pitti Immagine CEO Raffaello Napoleone

"The government is ready to put more funding on the table for 2016 based on the projects that are submitted," said Napoleone, who received 2 million euros in 2014 and 2.3 million in 2015 for the shows he organizes.

Those present at the meeting included Silvio Albini, president of Milano Unica; Riccardo Braccialini, president of the Associazione Manifatturieri Pelli e Cuoio (Aimpes), which unites Italian tanners; Carlo Capasa, president of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI); Claudio Marenzi, president of the employer’s organization Sistema Moda Italia (SMI); Gaetano Marzotto, president of Pitti Immagine; Anna Rita Pilotti, president of Assocalzaturifici; Stefano Ricci, president of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and Silvia Venturini Fendi, president of AltaRoma.
