I.N.C International Concepts launches 'Iris Meets I.N.C.' campaign

I.N.C International Concepts revealed on Wednesday its fall 2016 campaign, “Iris Meets I.N.C,” and launched an accompanying emoji keyboard inspired by Iris Apfel.

The campaign features Apfel and model Linda Vojtova, who wears five looks from the mod-inspired collection. The promotional emoji keyboard, which was designed by Snaps, includes emojis, stickers and GIFs featuring Apfel, her signature quotes and pieces from the collaboration collection. The fashion icon gave input for the emoji keyboard, which marks as Macy’s first foray into emojis.
 
I’m a little old for emojis and I didn’t know what they were,” said Apfel. “But everyone seems to like them, and I want everyone to have a good time. If my face makes people happy, I’m all for it.”

The emojis appear throughout the campaign in product hangtags, digital advertising and direct mail.
 
Nancy Slavin, senior vice president of marketing for Macy’s Merchandising Group, said, “Iris has collaborated with other fashion brands in recent years, so we wanted to take a fresh approach. She’s an icon whose appeal spans multiple generations, and we see these emojis as a fun way to amplify the campaign through mobile first. Her fans are going to go crazy!”
 
In June, I.N.C announced its collaboration collection with Iris Apfel. Apfel consulted with the brand’s design team and provided creative direction on the 40-piece collection of clothing and jewelry.
 
The Iris Meets I.N.C collection will be available at Macy’s stores and on the Macy’s website this September.
