Hyve postpones fashion events until 2021, adds new digital forum

Tradeshows giant Hyve Group has announced that the planned next editions of Pure London, Pure Origin, Scoop and Jacket Required won’t be happening this year due to the global impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

But a brand-new, collaborative ‘Fashion Together’ virtual forum will take place this September and the quartet of London-based shows will return for the AW21 season next February.

The company said the move comes on the back of feedback from both exhibitors and visitors, and is also designed to “ensure that the portfolio retains its status as a market leader, and that attendance and participation reflect the quality that these shows offer”.

Meanwhile, the group is following a similar route to other show organisers with its new digital offer that it said is “designed to unite the fashion industry”.

Fashion Together recognises “the importance of connecting people as a crucial part of what the shows provide” and will offer “an exclusive seminar programme and practical advice designed to educate and inform delegates”. It will happen on September 1 and 2 and is open to fashion brands and buyers.

Martin Arnold, Hyve Fashion Portfolio Director, said: “We have carefully considered hosting these shows later in the year, but after speaking with our customers we feel that this would not provide the value that they have come to expect.”
