Hermès opens its first store in Naples, Florida

French luxury brand Hermès has opened its first store in Naples, Florida, at Waterside Shops.

The store was designed in line with the atmosphere of the open-air mall and aims to reflect Naples’ fusion of intimacy, tropical relaxation and lightness. Conceived by Parisian architecture agency RDAI, the store features an all-white exterior, lined with tall, deep windows.

Upon entering, customers will find the colorful women’s and men’s silk collections. Continuing straight on, the home collection leads to the equestrian universe, where there is a seating area. On the right side of the store, visitors will find the perfume and beauty métiers and fashion jewelry.

Meanwhile, to the left, the ready-to-wear collections surround a large, central shoe salon. Lastly, a niche devoted to leather goods is enclosed by curved walls, while another intimate cove is dedicated to jewelry and watches.

Completing the space is an expansive art collection, including an imaginary landscape drawing by French artist François Houtin. Likewise, photographs by Romain Laprade and by Gérard Dalla Santa help to depict the different moods of the sea. Throughout, a Floridia pastel palette of ochre, green and ivory is woven into custom gradient carpets inspired by local artist Jen Stark.

The location marks Hermès’ fifth store in the state of Florida, and 33rd in the United States. Overall, the brand operates a network of more than 300 stores in 45 countries.

Hermès said in a news statement that the opening “represents the house’s commitment to the American market, and more specifically, the diverse clientele of Southern Florida.”
