Gosha Rubchinskiy protégé launches Dover Street Market collection

On June 10, fashion designer Gosha Rubchinskiy's protégé, the Russian skater and artist Valentin Fufaev, is unveiling a new collection from his DoublecheeseburgerVF project.

The project consists of original art work, a video projection of a short movie Fufaev filmed and directed, his zine and a small limited edition collection he designed, which has been produced by Comme des Garçons.

The collection contains five t-shirts, three hoodies and two zines and will launch at Dover Street Market London, the DSML e-shop and Paris Trading Museum on Friday 10th June 2016. On June 17 it launches at Dover Street Market New York, Dover Street Market Ginza and on their respective online stores.

Gosha Rubchinskiy, who made his design debut in 2014 as part of Paris’ menswear schedule, discovered Fufaev via Instagram when he was searching for new models. Fufaev was the face of the Timur Novikov collaboration back in August 2015 and also walked in Gosha Rubchinskiy’s AW16 show.

Dover Street Market states: "Dover Street Market likes to share its space with a community of like-minded thinkers and people who have something to say. Likewise, it encourages the designers who have their own spaces to share them in turn with their own community. Valentin is the first person Gosha has decided to share his space with, which in its own way, is simply another expression of his own world, as are his collections, his films, his photography and his books."
