Ganni, Canada Goose, Kitsuné go green with new collaborations

For spring, various premium labels are dropping capsule collections inspired by outdoor escapades, centred on outerwear designed with nature in mind. The following is an overview of these collections, with campaigns shot in the great outdoors.

Canada Goose X Cole Sprouse

‘Live in the Open’, is the slogan of Canada Goose's campaign. The Toronto-based label, specialised in apparel designed to withstand extreme conditions, has headed for Portugal’s lush Azores islands, where photographer Cole Sprouse shot the label’s latest collection.

Under Sprouse's lens, windbreakers, waterproof jackets, sweatshirts and accessories, ranging in hues from glittering pink to khaki, blend naturally into tall grass and verdant trails. The capsule collection, priced between €150 and €825, is available as a limited edition at Canada Goose stores and on the label's e-shop.

Ganni X 66° North

Danish affordable luxury label Ganni, spearheaded by designer duo Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup, has unveiled the fourth instalment of its collaboration with Icelandic label 66° North. The sustainable capsule collection was first presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week in early February, and consists of 14 outerwear items, including a black bob hat, various Neoshell jackets, and trousers made in recycled nylon and polyester.

The palette pays tribute to Icelandic landscapes, from bluish northern lights to black volcanic soil. The collection is priced between €110 and €575, and will be commercialised in early spring at Ganni and 66º North stores.

Kitsuné X And Wander

Destination: planet Earth. For Spring/Summer 2023, Japanese activewear label And Wander has teamed up with French label Kitsuné - co-founded 21 years ago by Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki - creating a collection inspired by mountain trekking, with bandannas and climbing-style sweatshirts (priced at €540).

The collection features versatile items in a palette of muted, earthy hues, made in resistant materials such as water-repellent and reflective nylon, decorated with graphic prints ideal for urban adventurers. The capsule collection is available worldwide from March 8, online and at both labels’ stores.
