Published
Nov 1, 2019

Estée Lauder’s Sue Fox has been transferred to the UK and Ireland division, where she will oversee the development of the group’s companies as the new regional general manager.

Fox, who is also gaining the title of senior vice president, is currently the president of the Estée Lauder Companies in Japan.

She will join the UK & ROI business on 1 January 2020, reporting directly to Cedric Prouvé, group president of the international division.

“Sue is a transformative leader possessing the strategic global business acumen, proven track record and expertise to effectively navigate today’s shifting consumer and competitive landscape,” Prouvé said about Fox’s appointment.

“In addition, Sue is a true steward of our company’s culture and values, making her ideally-placed to lead the UK & Ireland business, one of our most important markets, into the future.”

Fox has spent 25 years within the beauty group, whose stable of brands includes the likes of Clinique, Tommy Hilfiger, MAC,La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Donna Karan New York, Aveda, Jo Malone London, Michael Kors and Too Faced.

She was most recently general manager and president of the group in Japan, where she oversaw rapid growth in specialty-multi and online sales.

Prior to that, she led the travel retail EMEA business,  based in London, and was head of the company’s South Africa affiliate for 10 years. She also held roles at the company’s Singapore affiliate and at its global headquarters in New York.
