Edited appoints Kofoid new CEO

Edited, the global retail intelligence and AI-driven data insights company, has a new chief executive. As CEO, Doug Kofoid will be "dedicated to scaling Edited further", including bringing the company’s technology to new markets and strengthening [its] retailer and brand partnerships.

It describes Kofoid as “a proven leader in AI-driven B2B technology” and he brings with him wide experience in leading high-growth B2B SaaS companies and AI-driven solutions “integral as Edited continues to scale”.

Most recently, he served as the CEO at DialogTech, an AI-powered conversion intelligence and analytics solution for marketers. Before being named CEO in February 2018, he served there as the COO, where he led the company's transition towards AI-driven conversation intelligence. Previously, Kofoid also held senior leadership roles at Publicis Groupe and DoubleClick/Performics.

Karen McCormick, chief investment officer of venture capital backer Beringea, and Edited board member, said: “We are confident that Doug’s ability to blend product and technology strategy with a hands-on leadership style will continue to drive the growth mindset and operational rigour Edited is known for.”

Geoff Watts, Edited co-founder and board member, added: We’re sure he will foster and grow the team and expand the vision that underpins Edited’s success.”

“Joining the talented team and building on the company’s impressive growth presents an incredible opportunity,” said Kofoid.

He joins the business during a "period of strong growth". In 2021, the company grew annual recurring revenue over 100% through client acquisition and platform expansion. It works with apparel and footwear brands and is expanding its verticals into home goods, beauty and home improvement retail, it noted.
