Dior taps designer’s daughter Rachele Regini for latest campaign

Published
Mar 21, 2023

Talk about keeping it in the family. The house of Dior has tapped Rachele Regini, its cultural consultant, to star in its latest campaign for the Lady 95.22 handbag.

Rachele Rigini - Dior

Regini, who has been a constant creative presence at Dior for the past half-decade, also happens to be the daughter of the house’s creative director for women’s wear Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Dior’s new “manifesto campaign,” to use its preferred term, was shot by Brigitte Lacombe and captures Regini in black and white in various poses with the new Lady 95.22, which is finished in matelassé leather with a graphic cannage motif. Regini is attired in wide-leg jeans, black boots, a sweater and an unbuttoned cashmere coat that she pulls close to her neck.

“A tribute to the house's unique history, striking a balance between legacy and reinvention(s), Maria Grazia Chiuri has envisioned the Lady 95.22 as a virtuoso reinterpretation of the Lady Dior lines,” Dior said in a release.

After graduating from college, the 26-year-old Regini moved full-time to Paris in 2019 to aid her mum in Dior’s design studio. She has a bachelor's in art history and a master's in gender media and culture from Goldsmiths University in London.

While at Dior, Regini has been notably active in linking feminist culture with communication, working on collaborations with female creatives like Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, whose cult phrase 'We Should All Be Feminists'  featured on massively successful Dior t-shirts, and Tomaso Binga, a path-breaking Italian artist.
