Cos continues Australia expansion with first Brisbane store

Published

H&M Group's upscale fashion brand Cos is continuing its retail rollout across key cities in Australia with the launch of its first Brisbane store, adding to locations already opened in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The London-based Swedish retailer will open the doors to its first Queensland flagship on November 16, inside Brisbane's iconic Wintergarden shopping precinct.

Located on Queen Street, the 474 square-metre store is split over two levels and will house Cos' full menswear and womenswear offering. This includes the latest spring/summer 2018 collection, which sees the minimalist brand focus on different proportions, such as geometric shapes, and casual tailoring, as seen via soft fabrics.

The Brisbane store's facade has rendered to the local aesthetic and uses the building's current textured brickwork. Inside, however, the interior has been designed in Cos' signature style; from curated lounge areas to bespoke fitting rooms, in a light, modern style.

“We are excited to open our first store in Brisbane and look forward to being a part of the vibrant city," said Marie Honda, managing director at Cos.

"We hope customers enjoy the new store space, the collection and the brand."

Cos operates a total of six stores in Australia across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The Brisbane location takes its store count in the nation to seven.
