Last year the French house invited us to discover the camellia, its emblematic flower and the main ingredient in Chanel's N°1 beauty line. This year Chanel is devoting its next exhibition to orange blossom.

From June 1, as part of the 'Jardins, Jardin' event organised by the association of the same name and the Musée du Louvre, Chanel is taking over the Jardins de la Tuileries in Paris.

From flower to perfume, the exhibition, which takes the form of a 200 square metre garden, will transport visitors to the Riviera, between Vallauris Golfe-Juan and Le Bar-sur-Loup, enabling them to discover the orange blossom industry, or Bigaradiers (Citrus aurantium), which Chanel, in association with the Mul family, the largest producer of perfume plants in the Grasse region, is developing organically to guarantee its sustainability.

"I like the idea that perfume, so intangible and impalpable, comes from something concrete, real and very artisanal, like the earth and flowers," explains Olivier Polge, the perfumer/creator of Chanel fragrances.
