CPM in Moscow attracts 19,800 visitors

The 20th edition of CPM – belonging to German group Igedo – took place in Moscow between 26 February and 1 March, drew in 19,800 visitors and 1,600 exhibitors. For the February last year, the show attracted 19,100 visitors, up from 17,200 in 2010.

CPM in Moscow has confirmed its place as trade show leader in Russia

This progression reflects the kick-start in the Russian economy, which comes after a difficult few years (2007 and 2008) in the country. “The buyers are certainly more professional these days but the show is no longer the El Dorado that it used to be,” said Fabrice Raoul from Didier Parakian. To meet up to the professionalization of the buyer, the show’s organizers reinforced certain section of the show including Premium, Kids, Body & Beach and Fashion & Denim. An increased importance to the internet was also given at the show. “Exhibitors and buyers do much of their research online before the show,” commented Christian Kasch, project director at the show.

The next edition of CPM (Collection Première Moscow) will take place between 4 and 7 September 2013.
