Ben Sherman launches Team GB collection and Rankin campaign

Ben Sherman has launched its Team GB capsule collection at retail as the sports world gears up for an Olympic Games that it expects to still go ahead.

The Tokyo Games were delayed from last year due to the pandemic and saw a wide variety of sports and ready-to-wear sponsors having to rethink their launch plans.

But the marketing plans are ramping up at present and along with the Ben Sherman product launch, there’s a campaign shot by Rankin featuring Team GB members.

This is actually the second time the brand has created clothing for Team GB with it also having been appointed for the Athens Games in 2004.

As well as the new collection, Ben Sherman is the official athlete uniform provider but those pieces are staying under wraps for now and set to launch in July at the opening ceremony itself.

Ben Sherman Creative Director, Mark Williams, said the new pieces “tapped into the brand’s heritage, authenticity and aesthetic excellence. The design elements hold true to the spirit of the Olympics and Great Britain”.

The new collection features organic cotton polo shirts, graphic tees, a casual shirt, bomber and Harrington jackets targeting both men and women. There’s also a childrenswear offer.

The pieces are available on Ben Sherman’s and Team GB’s webstores, with the kidswear also available via other selected retailers.
