Alaïa launches online store

Maison Alaïa is going digital, launching on Wednesday its first online store created in partnership with Yoox Net-a-Porter Group.

Launched at Maison-Alaia.com, the online store will cater to over 100 markets around the world and will feature the house’s largest offering, including current season Maison Alaïa ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories, as well as Les Intemporels classic pieces.

The Alaïa website will also hub two new collections: 'Edition' collection and 'Editions Limitées'.

The new Edition collection includes iconic pieces selected from the Azzedine Alaïa archive, while Editions Limitées features both newly designed and re-edited pieces from the archive.

Edition will be exclusively available online. Each garment will be made to the exact specifications and rigorous construction insisted upon by Mr. Alaïa himself and in the original fabrics, if still available.

The second label will be created to demi-couture standards, and will be showcased online, but available to purchase by appointment only, in the Maison Alaïa ateliers in Paris.

Other exclusive capsule collections are expected to be introduced over time.

Owned by Compagnie Financière Richemont, Maison Alaïa operates two flagship stores including one in Paris and one in London.
