Zalando, DHL partner to operate Poland fulfillment centre

Europe’s online fashion and lifestyle platform Zalando has initiated a partnership with DHL Supply Chain to operate its fulfillment centre in Gluchów, Poland.

DHL Supply Chain oversees the hiring process of about 1,000 positions for the logistics centre there. Gluchów is one of three fulfillment centers for Zalando in Poland, next to Szczecin and Olsztynek.

“Thanks to the investment into the new fulfillment center in Gluchów, we will not only strengthen the service offered to Polish customers but expand our logistics network in Europe,” according to Jan Bartels, vice president, customer fulfillment & logistics, at the company.

The factors that determined Gluchów as a location in Poland have been primarily high employment potential, good geographical location and infrastructure with the direct connection to the expressways, according to a press release from Berlin-based Zalando.
