YouCam shares future of its AI, 3-D and AR technology developments for beauty and fashion

Perfect Corp. CEO Alice Chang has been demoing YouCam Makeup's beauty focused technology at the Consumer Electronics Show CES tech show this week.

New technologies that YouCam will roll out include real-time 360 degree augmented reality (AR) hair coloring powered by deep learning technology; an artificial intelligence (AI) "Look Transfer" tool bringing makeup looks to life from printed photos instantly through 3D face AR tech; and AR powered training tools for beauty brands to use privately and brief their sales teams on product at scale.

“AI technology will transform the face of beauty," said CEO Alice Chang of Youcam owner Perfect Corp.  "We are only just beginning to reveal its potential."

YouCam's technology preview also showed 3D AR applications for makeup, spanning hyper-realistic natural looks to costume makeover effects. YouCam's 3D AR tech can also be used for fashion accessories and glasses.

The AR, AI and 3-D technology is available to demo and experience at CES, which has been underway in Las Vegas this week.

Perfect Corp. has 550 million downloads globally. YouCam Makeup is available both at the Apple Store and Google Play. Brands that have recently collaborated with YouCam to enhance their virtual beauty experience include Estee Lauder, Lancome and Swarovski.
