The selected brands include Hamilton and Hare, a men’s loungewear brand; Asceno, which specialises on silk pyjamas and swimwear for women; men’s performance sportswear brand Castore and luxury accessories label L.O.N.B.

Kathryn Sargent, who has made history for being Savile Row’s first female tailor; woven bags brand Rae Feather; and Malle London, which sells luggage and clothing for men, have been also selected.

The 12 brands will be paired up with some of the UK’s most experienced luxury executives who will provide with personal mentoring and one-to-one coaching to help them accelerate their growth and further develop their business.

Helen Brocklebank, Walpole CEO, commented: "It’s excellent to see a diverse range of British luxury entrepreneurs entering the market from luxe sportswear to tailoring, skincare to whisky. With many success stories from the programme over the past decade, Walpole’s mentorship programmes ensure we secure the future growth of the luxury industry in the UK. The sector as a whole is committed to creating a pipeline of luxury brands and to developing jobs and skills. It feels more important than ever that these new businesses are given the support they need.”

Now in its 11th year, the programme aims to support the success and growth of the British luxury industry. Previous winners have included Orlebar Brown, Charlotte Olympia, Nyetimber, Bremont and Emilia Wickstead. Past mentors have included senior executives from Selfridges, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Harrods and Oliver Sweeney.
