Uniqlo to repeat J.W. Anderson collab in 2018 after successful debut

Published

Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo is collaborating with J.W. Anderson again following the successful launch of his Fall Winter collection.

J.W. Anderson - Uniqlo

The British designer has been now asked to create a Spring Summer line for the Japanese brand, with items for men and women becoming available exclusively in Uniqlo stores worldwide and online.

Known for his unique aesthetic, J.W. Anderson said the new collection will build on the previous one, which had a distinct British flavour with classic silhouettes such as the trench coat and patterns like tartan and tweed reworked into contemporary modern looks.

The designer said: “The first Uniqlo and J.W. Anderson collaboration was super exciting for me and I am very happy with the results. I am proud of it and I think the pieces are incredibly well made. The line was also good bridge between the ideal of British classicism and my own brand.

“The 2018 spring/summer collection is about items that interlink with each other. It's about layering this time. The idea is to mix and match things together and I truly hope you will enjoy it,” J.W. Anderson added.

If the FW17 collection is anything to go by, the new J.W. Anderson x Uniqlo edit will include essential summer pieces as well as accessories, with prices starting from around £24.
