US Polo Association to supply apparel to national team for Westchester Cup

The US Polo Association’s official licensing arm USPA Global Licensing Inc. (USPAGL) will outfit the national polo team at the 2018 Westchester Cup, a historic sporting event where the US will face off against England.

 
As the US polo team’s official apparel outfitter, USAPGL will provide players with performance gear to wear on the field, as well as formal blazers, pants and shirts in which to attend the social events taking place as part of the tournament.
 
The US Polo Association will also be hosting a pop-up shop in the vendor village on the day of the event, as well as promoting the tournament through its “Live Authentically” digital platform via both American and English influencers.

“U.S. Polo Assn. is proud to be a sponsor of the Westchester Cup and the official apparel outfitter of the USA team,” said USPAGL CEO J. Michael Prince in a release. “In addition to supporting our home country team, our involvement with this historical polo tournament will continue expanding awareness of U.S. Polo Assn. across the U.K. and Europe as well as on a global basis.”
 
First created in 1876, the last time the Westchester Cup was contested was in 2013, with victory going to the English team, which has successfully defended the title at the last three tournaments. Overall, the US leads the series with 10 victories to England’s 7.
 
The Westchester Cup will take place on July 28th at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club in Windsor, England.
