JC Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) announced on Tuesday that Michael T. Theilmann and Thomas M. Nealon, have been named Group Executive Vice Presidents of the Company, each assuming expanded operational responsibilities.

These promotions reflect the substantial contributions that both executives have made in positioning JCPenney to best serve its customers, drive growth and innovation, and deliver on its Long Range Plan strategies.

"We are fortunate to have outstanding leadership talent in place as we work to achieve JCPenney`s vision of being America`s favorite shopping destination and industry growth leader," said Mr. Ullman.

Mr Nealon, 49, has previously worked at EDS, Southwest Airlines, Feld Group, an IT management consultancy and also spent 15 years at Frito-Lay, Inc., a division of PepsiCo.

Mr. Theilmann, 46, worked prior to JCP, at Yum!, and its predecessor PepsiCo for 12 years, after having worked in Human Resources at Burger King and Grand Metropolitan.
