Puig Beauty & Fashion Group and the renowned Colombian singer Shakira reached an agreement to jointly develop a fragrance and soon a line of beauty products bearing the signature of the famous singer. ‘S by Shakira’ new perfume was presented in Spain on July 22nd.

The Puig Group will also be the global distributor of the brand and has several projects with the singer "I am excited to express myself through a new creative medium," said Shakira. "I believe that cosmetic products should be more readily available to everyone."

The Colombian artist and entrepreneur, whose name in Arabic means "woman full of grace" not only has conquered the world with several hits, but also is the creator of the "Pies Descalzos " (Barefoot) foundation dedicated to improving education and social conditions of families in her home country. Her career includes winning numerous Grammys, Billboard and MTV awards.

S by Shakira was designed by combining resins such as benzine, amber and touches of vanilla, in addition to fresh woods and Sambac jasmine, originally from India.

Shakira participated actively in its creation with the aim of developing a scent that captures a young spirit and that stimulates the imagination "Just like a song, a scent is made up of different notes and melodies, which together form a harmony," the artist said.

The bottle of S by Shakira, presented in a high-quality cut glass, conveys a sense of fluidity and movement, and its shape resonates a sensual belly dancer.
Looked at from various angles, the bottle simulates new shapes and colours, evoking different feelings.
