Rebag debuts "on demand" handbag service

Published
Oct 12, 2018

Rebag, a luxury handbag marketplace, has debuted its new bag rental service Rebag Infinity. Through the new rental system, customers can purchase a bag, carry it for up to six months and exchange it for Rebag Credit worth at least 70% of its original purchase price. Users may then use that credit for a new bag.

According to Rebag, the program is meant to create an on-demand handbag system that is both more cost-effective and allows shoppers to change bags as trends (or their tastes) shift.

"With Rebag Infinity we are facilitating an infinite cycle, where shoppers can reinvest their Rebag Credit endlessly and always carry the handbag of their dreams," said Charles Gorra, founder and CEO. "Providing a predetermined resale outcome at the time of the initial purchase will influence consumers' buying decisions."

The firm said this new program "is the latest demonstration of the company's commitment to promoting a consumer shift towards luxury goods."

Users can access Rebag Infinity through the company's mobile app, website, or at Rebag brick and mortar locations in NYC.

Founded in 2014, the company operates a luxury handbag marketplace which allows users to both buy and sell bags from high-end brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney and Hermès
