Playtime Paris finished up its July edition with a 23% increase in attendance as compared to the same event last year. For its 16th edition, held from July 5 to 7, the children’s trade show welcomed 7,179 visitors who came to survey 400 brands, including 88 newcomers.

International visitors from 64 countries accounted for 45.84% of total attendance (as opposed to 41.14% for July 2013). Europeans - Belgians, English and Dutch at the top of the list - were well represented at 32.9%. Asians made up 5.9%, visitors from the Americas comprised 2.8% and those from the Middle East encompassed 2.5%.

Outside of Europe, the three countries with the largest presences were Japan, the United States and South Korea. It’s noteworthy that Monday, the last day of the show, was Playtime’s busiest day, some exhibitors lamenting a somewhat slow start.

The next edition of Playtime Paris will take place from January 31 to February 2, 2015.
