Maxfield scores the first L.A. showing of Galliano’s Maison Margiela couture

A special exhibition of the fall/winter 2017/2018 Maison Margiela "Artisinal" collection is opening at Maxfield’s special Prouvé structure next to the store on September 7. It will open with a private showing and cocktail party for the store and the brand’s best West Coast customers.

It’s rare for any couture collection to get a West Coast showing. The pieces in the special exhibit were handpicked by John Galliano himself, from the recent Haute Couture show in July, to show in L.A. It’s the first time Maison Margiela has done something like this – and a rare opportunity for the brand’s loyalists to see couture up close.

The current Margiela fall RTW collection will be available to purchase in the store, along with exclusive t-shirt designed by John Galliano himself.
