LVMH has the habit of making us dream, but it also never fails to surprise. The proof of this can be seen in its latest initiative, broadcasting its ready-to-wear womenswear spring-summer 2010 live on Facebook!

On the 7th of October at 13h30 GMT the servers of the social networking site risk being overloaded by www.facebook.com/louisvuitton. In addition to watching the designs by Marc Jacobs for next summer live, internet users will be able to comment in real time. The festivities will even be continuing after the show as the video will be available on demand for the following 24 hour period, uniquely on the brand’s Fan page.
Louis Vuitton is conquering the digital world and was the first luxury brand to join Twitter when it did so in May 2009. “In less than 24 hours, more than 5,000 fans of the brand could be found on the Twitter@LouisVuitton_US site, which has now risen to over 40,000 followers,” stated a spokesperson for Louis Vuitton.
In July 2009 the house created its official Facebook page in order to make “an unmissable space online, dedicated to Louis Vuitton.” This fan page already has 600,000 fans signed up.
