Interparfums forecasts 10% revenue rise in 2017, predicts slower growth in 2018

French perfume specialist Interparfums, the group which designed the Montblanc, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin and Coach fragrances, has forecast a 10% revenue increase for the 2017 fiscal year, to reach approximately €402.5 million, but is predicting a slower growth rate in 2018, due to a less intense new product launch programme.

The Mademoiselle Rochas perfume - Rochas

In 2018, the Interparfums group expects to generate a revenue between €420 and €425 million, up 5% over the current fiscal year. Montblanc, Jimmy Choo and Lanvin, respectively with revenues of €112 million, €100 million and €60 million, will remain the leading brands within the group's portfolio. They will be followed by Coach, expected to leap 24% to €52 million, and by Rochas, which should rise 12% to €38 million.

The year 2019 will instead be a busy one for new product launches. Montblanc, whose leading fragrance, Legend, accounts for 50% of its sales, will add a new franchise, as will do Jimmy Choo and Lanvin, both planning to introduce new women's fragrances. In 2019, Rochas will instead come out with a new men's fragrance.

As for other business opportunities that may interest Interparfums, the group's CEO Philippe Benacin said that "the market is moving, though not extensively," and he is busy on "various fronts," without however disclosing any detail about the brands which may be involved.
