Eddie Bauer launches in Austria
Eddie Bauer is expanding into the Austrian market. Founded in 1920, the US outdoor brand has expanded its online presence across Europe and has been operating since August in Austria and all EU countries.
The company is also planning to collaborate with other outdoor retailers and potential partners.
"Eddie Bauer has been an innovation leader in outdoor clothing and equipment since 1920," commented Bernd Niemeyer, Eddie Bauer's chief marketing officer. "We have been very successful in Germany for over 20 years and now want to expand this business throughout Europe.”
Eddie Bauer is now offering a range of online services in Austria, including pay later, free returns, low shipping costs of 5.95 euros and unrestricted lifetime guarantee on all products.
Eddie Bauer offers a wide range of products from technical alpine clothing to urban leisurewear for men and women. Last year, the brand introduced the Evertherm jacket, made from Thindown fabric which eliminates the need for quilting or channels.
In addition to Europe, the outdoor specialist has a presence in more than 400 stores in the US, Canada and Japan.
